When it comes to prisons and prisoners, we don’t often get an insight into the narratives of the families. Children are the invisible victims of their parents’ crimes and are often called ‘hidden’ victims of the penal system because they must endure their own sentence. In Ireland, there is a concerning lack of data on the children of prisoners compared to EU standards. LittleTalks is a support framework created by Stephanie Connolly that was created to protect and preserve the relationship between children and their loved ones in prison.
